A New God
Little is known about this town by outsiders aside from the fact that the town and everyone in it is owned by Master Fazaad. The surrounding area is hounded by “The Dream Walker”, because of this most do not travel to Ha’Avren, although those that do find a rather prosperous village, considering its lack of trade.Locals Know:
- For most of it’s history the village had been in slow decline, being distant from most city-states and trade routes. About thirty years ago the villages well began to dry up, causing the village council to search for any means of survival. After five years of pleas for aid, Master Fazaad arrived, and offered the people of Ha’Avren a deal.
- Master Fazaad offered the villagers a constant source of water, in return he would own all of Ha’Avren. Having little choice the village agreed, because of this Master Fazaad now has total control of Ha’Avren. In recent years Master Fazaad has taken a backseat to his son, Fazaad II, allowing his son to deal with all but the most important matters. It is thought that within a few years Master Fazaad will be giving the town to his son.
- Periodically Master Fazaad will close the village off to all outsiders, anyone who is not owned by Master Fazaad is kicked out of the village, and heavy guards are placed on all access points into the town. After this is done, Master Fazaad chooses a single slave who is sacrificed to an elemental spirit, followed by a week of revelry. During this week, rain falls and is collected by everyone in the village, this rain is what must last them until the next ritual is performed.
